I am working with Royal KPN, the leading telco in The Netherlands. Being positioned within the television department, I am responsible for the proposition of the content packages on iTV.

Does the company plan to hire more people within your business unit?
KPN is (as most telco's worldwide) going through some difficult times at the moment, but our television product is going very strong.

How important is it career-wise for foreigners to learn Dutch? 

Being an English speaker, you will be able to find your way around and finding a job shouldn't be too hard. Also in social life, speaking English can be sufficient. However, if you really want to bound, speaking Dutch will make things easier, but that's perhaps worldwide the same.

Mr. Robertson is professor of Psychology at Trinity College Dublin a visiting professor at the University of Toronto, University College London, and the University of Wales. He is a member of the Royal Irish Academy and has published over 250 scientific articles in leading journals. Mr. Robertson is a trained clinical psychologist, international expert on neuropsychology and a regular keynote speaker at conferences on brain function throughout the world.During the MBA World Café evening, prof. dr. Ian Robertson, neuroscientist and author of The Winner Effect will give an interactive lecture on leadership. To celebrate the Dutch publication of his book, Het Winnaar Effect, he happily agreed upon sharing his knowledge and expertise with Nyenrode. 

In addition, drs. Tom Cummings, co-author of the book Leadership Landscapes and CEO Conference Moderator, will moderate the discussion where participants will be invited to share their views with Nyenrode faculty members. During this panel, three experienced leaders will share their unique stories on what makes them a leader.

Coffee company Douwe Egberts to list in Amsterdam on July 9

Coffee and tea company Douwe Egberts 1753 is to be listed on the Amsterdam stock exchange under the name DE Master Blenders on July 9, parent company Sara Lee said in a statement.

The share will also be available as an 'as-if-and-when issued' basis from June 12, which means investors can place orders which will be issued at the IPO. No information about the possible price has yet been published.
