Tourists bring extra life to the Amsterdam, but also nuisance. Georgina, however, added style to the city. Amsterdammers can learn a thing or two from her mix 'n match style.
street style: merel
street style: gilly
Relaxed people are scarce in Amsterdam, everyone is always in a rush. The calm pase that Gilly (30, football player) walked by was hard to miss. He’s got a real air of relaxedness and his colourful mix & match clothing style made us want to ask him a few questions…

amsterdam street style: samuel
my origin
Swiss, but has been in Amsterdam 2,5 years (Sam answered in fluent, accent-free Dutch!)
I’d never be caught dead wearing...
Oh there are a few things I never wear. Well, I never wear an umbrella or any of those kind of things, or sunglasses, or gloves. A friend of mine works for the English hatter and he’s always trying to get me wear a hat. But I really don’t like that, I don’t know why.. *sigh* may be because I’m a hair dresser.
amsterdam street style: Robin
Father and daughter were spotted at Tazzina’s in the Jordaan on a cold but dry day in January. Robin had just arrived back from LA where he had some gigs. He was so happy to see his daughter that he immediately took her out for a cake at their favourite coffee corner.
nice to meet you!
My name is Alexandra Vail and I am a certified image consultant. During my career as a law practitioner, I expressed her passion for fashion via my fashion blog (in Russian) and by publishing articles for online fashion magazines.
I came to realize that for me making the world a better place is not by preparing investment contracts, but by helping people to embrace their individual beauty. This sparked my career move to become an image consultant and professional stylist.
I now live in Amsterdam and am founder of Stylegant. I work with clients from different cultural and professional backgrounds who seek style advice.
On this website, Kira and I report back to you on our Amsterdam fashion & street style hunt.
The very stylish wishes,
Always yours,
Alex
Best Hairdresser in Amsterdam
A good man might be hard to find, but a good hairdresser is next to impossible.
The problem with hairdressers is threefold: they love (1) cutting (2) colouring and (3) hearing their own voice till the end of day. The styles they produce may be artistic and beautiful (for four hours), what we generally want, is a haircut that looks good for a couple of weeks and without special lighting and real-time Photoshop. Not to worry, though, there are some hair dressers in Amsterdam that are in many ways a cut above the rest.
