What do you do?
I am working with Royal KPN, the leading telco in The Netherlands. Being positioned within the television department, I am responsible for the proposition of the content packages on iTV.

How important is it career-wise for foreigners to learn Dutch? 

Being an English speaker, you will be able to find your way around and finding a job shouldn't be too hard. Also in social life, speaking English can be sufficient. However, if you really want to bound, speaking Dutch will make things easier, but that's perhaps worldwide the same.

return to life in amsterdam

After having spend nearly 3 weeks in the Cape wine lands of South-Africa, I find it hard to adhere to ‘home sweet home’. And now I have to rave about life in Amsterdam?!

To boost my love for the city, I've been thinking what makes life in Amsterdam great (over the sun overloaded Cape region).

1. Crawling into bed, covering yourself under thick, fluffy duvets. Definitely beats sheets & airco.

Screaming beans is a ‘coffee meet wine bar’ and ‘breakfast meet late night dinner restaurant’. 
 
what i love about Screaming Beans
It’s a modern bar that is fun for breakfast, lunch, dinner and evening wine drinking. The ambiance is uncomplicated styling, the service is pretty good. The service was friendly and helpful.
